This is the Engineering and Event Blog that is maintained by the team. After each meeting one or more of the team members writes up what we did and what they enjoyed obout the meetings.

Todays meeting

Todays meeting was lots of fun.First we had a round table. Then we practiced our skit a couple of times. Then we had lunch and we kicked a ball around. Then we came inside and we started programing. I almost finished my program. Overall todays meeting was great.

Our Thirteenth Meeting

Our thirteenth meeting. Today was lots of fun. First we had a round table. Then we discussed our information. When we practiced our skit, It was really fun. Next we finished our robots. I finished mine first. Then we went outside and had lunch, but soon we came inside and started programing. Since we had new robots we had to start our programs all over. I almost finished. Overall today's meeting was the best so far because I got lots accomplished and it was really fun. But we have lots to do before our first scrimmage this weekend!

Monday's meeting

On monday, we started the day with a round table as usual, then we started on building, programming, and presentationing.  I worked on building our robot, (not sure which one it is now) and got it mostly finished.  I still need to attach the third motor, but that shouldn't be too hard, since there are several good places to link it to.  Sorry for the delay in my blog!

The whatever number meeting that this is - Weimar Scrimmage and PCOE Presentation

We had our first scrimmage at Weimar on Saturday. It was great! We came in third which was really good, considering that we finished rebuilding our robot on Monday!

So, today we practised our presentation, then did it for the P.C.O.E. teachers meeting. They were really impressed!! Kim gave us some good tips. Then we ate and then Alan came and helped us. We decided to change my ICE CORE program so that the robot puts the rig in the research area instead of base which means a lot of precise calculations! AAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!! But, I still had fun.

Lego

Today we did a lot of things like I rebuilt two arms and I saw so cool runs like the run where it taks every that has to go to the iceberg. Then we played a fun game work chalenge for the about rest of the time.

Today's meeting

Today, we started the day with a round table as usual.  After that, we had project judging, and teamwork right after it.  When we were done with that, we split up into groups, me Faith and Andrew started on a find-and-align program, which took almost 1 hour, and was not easy.  But, I learned a lot from it, so that was good.  After lunch, (the program took that long!) we finally used it for the original purpose, me and Bobby's levee blocks program.  We got that one working great, and then we did engineering judging.  After that was done, in the last 5/10 minutes of our meeting, we did one table run, and timed it.  It was a good meeting!

Today's meeting

Today we started the day off with a round table, and talked about our "competetion" Monday night.  We talked about things we could improve on all our topics.  After that, we went on to fixing the robot, it had frozen while trying to download a mission, and that took quite a while.  Once that was reset, and after lunch, we downloaded all the programs freshly, in order for the table runners.  we tweaked the programs a bit, worked on some of our my blocks, and did several runs, with both team A and team 1.  It was a good meeting!

Wed. Dec. 3

Today I put the new touch sensors on robot. Now the touch line up is a lot better then before. And almost all day I was making a set of treads with a lot of gears. And we made the ice core arm and program a lot better.

Mondays Meeting

Last Monday, we met and worked more on programming and practicing  and more tweaking. We had a round table and discussed our thoughts about competition. We were all very happy with how we did. Then a reporter came and interviewed us and we did our presentation for her. She was very interested in our innovative soloution for early wildfire detection. We tried to spread the core values of FLL. We appeared in the paper the next day. Thanks to the Auburn Journal we are more known in our community and we got our innovative solution out for people to research.

Monday's Meeting!

At yesterday's meeting, we started off with a round table, and talked about what we needed to get done that day.  We decided that we needed to work on the table quite a bit, so we split into our 3 teams (Blue Team, Red Team, and Black Team) and took turns running  the table.  Each team got about 6 turns, and I could see the progress even through just this meeting.  Over all, it was a great meeting!
