The Auburn Lions Club

On Wednesday April 1st we went to the Auburn Lions Club meeting. They gave us lunch and then we set up for our presentation. We had a problem with electricity but Al figured it out (Yay Al! This is what we try to do, come up with solutions to problems) We presented it and they seemed very interested, especially in our robot and our idea's possible implementation.

Thank you Auburn Lions for having us!

Daybreak Rotary

On Wednesday April1st at 7:00am we went to a Daybreak Rotary meeting and presented.(Now we know why they call it Daybreak Rotary)

We were very interested and especially liked the video of our robot and Dean Kamen. Thank you for having us Daybreak Rotary!

Our HUGE spaghetti dinner

Our spaghetti dinner was a rousing success! About 350 people attended! Special thanks go to:

The Knights of Columbus - it would have been impossible without you!

Dave Rosenthal - our wonderful MC/auctioneer!

Fr. Mike Carroll - who gave us the parish hall for no charge!

Businesses that donated items - we really appreciate the support you've given us!

All the family and friends who made up the crew - you guys worked like crazy!

All of you who attended - you made our trip possible!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The Team does presentation for Auburn Lions!

Coach Heidi picked up Drew and I at 6:00 AM this morning. We had breakfast (with lots of coffee for Heidi) at MaryBelles in Old Town. Then we listened to the Lions do the business part of their meeting. They were the most boisterious club yet, but lots of fun! We did our presentation, and it went pretty smoothly. They were very nice. Thank you for having us, Lions!

Placer County Board of Education

We did our presentation for the Placer County Board of Education. Everyhting went really smoothly. We add-libbed a bit, but it was all for the best. They were quite impressed, and gave us some nice compliments. Thank you for having us!

Presentation to the Placer County Board of Education

On April 9 we presented our presentation to the Placer County Board of Education. They were very much interested in our innovative solution (Forest Guard). There was also a slideshow of pictures from our website which was very good. The ones who had been on the Board for a long time said it was probably the best presentation they had seen in the time they had been there (ten years!!!). They were very nice.
